Evanescence is an fantasy wolf rpg. We have a minimum word count per post of 175 words. Newbies are welcomed, but they must be able to reach that, or at least be willing to try, and ask for help if needed. Staff are more than happy to advise on how to post better replies.
Being a Fantasy rpg, we allow your wolves to be different colours and be able to do things that a normal wolf or wolves would not. It is also a Light, Dark and Neutral roleplay site. And finally, Foxes, Coyotes, African Wild Dogs and Hybrids of any of those are welcomed. We're a friendly and active community here. Come join us!

Plot.
Several years ago, scientists were experimenting on a new gas that would cure fleas and ticks from wildlife, making life a little bit healthier for living. It wasn't harmful to the animals, but would destroy any bacteria or flea that was living on the coats of wildlife. One day, a fire broke out, and it caused the gas to spread across the entire area. Wolves were exposed to it an and it caused their coats to have different colorings as well as special abilities.
The humans were killed becasue the gas was toxic to them. The wolves now roam every area and the forests seemed to have grown over every inch of the city, hiding old buildings and overgrowing. The wolves have a bit of a problem though...there is a rogue pack of wolves to the north, who are more aggressive and think that they should rule over the entire world. While this other pack is more easy going and mellow.
The question remains...which path will you choose? the ultimate power? Or the ultimate failure?

Monday 12th September 2009 The Cannibal Plot News The Rogue wolves now have their own area on the forum - The Drylake Temple. The plot is starting and we urge everyone to take part in some way! In a few days, the Rogue pack may be starting to invade on the Tiani, Callem or Lux packs. It's not to be missed!
Tuesday 13th September 2009 Bans It's not like Evanescence to have a ban on anything, but times like these call for it. Due to the large amount of members in the Rogue pack (20) in comparison to the other packs (7-8), a ban has now been placed on creating Rogue pack wolves. We do, however, encourage you to create wolves in the Tiani, Callem and Lux packs!
Breeding: No. Birthing: No. Weather: As reds, oranges and golds scatter the landscape it's becoming clear that Autumn is here! The temperature has started to cool now and rain is starting to become common again, in preparation for the forthcoming Winter. Thunderstorms may start developing too, so be warned!

GENERAL RULES
One account per member. You may have multiple charries under your one account, but keep them active. Unactive charries will be put in our graveyard. NO RACIST OR SEXIST TALK, if we catch you doing any of this, you will be banned until we see it fit for you to return. DO NOT IGNORE YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS Only ONE picture in your signature. This could be of your main charrie you RP. Big pics stretch the board. (it can't be no bigger than 500 pixels wide.) No popularity polls. Thats wrong and offensive Drawings are allowed for charries if you cannot manip a picture. But please dont use drawings for ALL of your characters. You are welcome to request a picture in the Graphics area of the forum but please follow the Artist's own rules. Liquid time is allowed. That means your character can be in multiple threads at once.
POSTING RULES. All in character post MUST be 175 words, no less! This is a gigantic rule. Posting less than that gives us nothing to reply to. If you need to stretch it a bit. Cursing is allowed but keep to a minimum. No Powerplaying or God-Modding. Some abilities allow it in very minute quantities but we wish you to contact the other RP'er(s) beforehand. You can use colors to separate your charries if you have multiple ones. Please use [blockquote][/*blockquote]when posting. It looks much neater. Please be somewhat literate in your posts. WOLFSPEAK is allowed but please dont go overboard with it. (meaning if you use it for the entire post. It can get confusing to those that arent familiar with it). Wolf talk examples: "femme" & "fae" to describe a female wolf and "orbs" to describe eyes. There are many others too.
CHARACTERS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT TO BE ACCEPTED!! I'm tired of having people ask me to approve their charries. If you've read the rules you would know. You can have as many as you want, but keep them active This is a fantasy RPG. Your charries may have certain abilities and colored markings. For the sake of our graphic generators, keep the colors and markings limited. I don't think they appreciate, a red paw with a green toe or whatever. Wings are allowed. Regular wolves are allowed! They are called "NORMIES". Coyotes, foxes, wild dogs and hybrids of any kind are allowed. With the wild dogs, please don't use any pure bred domestic dog breeds, ie, hybrids. CODEWORD IS CANID<--This MUST be placed in your application so we KNOW you read the rules!!
PACKS & LAND The royal packs are off limits for challenging. However, you are allowed to challenge the sub packs under the main pack lands. Males and females MAY claim land. Notice, FEMALES MAY CLAIM LAND!!!! No sexists around here. You can create Lone wolfs, that aren't a part of a pack yet, but be warned, any posting on lands might not work out.
BREEDING No Graphic Breeding. Please keep it PG-13 on the threads. If you feel you have to go further, please take it into personal messages and so, private. Force breeding is allowed, but again PG-13 only. You cannot have your characters mate with one another. You must find someone else to let your charries bring pups into the world. And you can't arbitrarily put a male in. A designated staff member will do litter stats. Please dont hound the admins to get pups in the cbox. Litter sizes will be determined by the staff. Please note: if your charries have bred and the fea has given birth, PM one of the admins immedately so we can determine what and how many pups you will have. No deciding on your own!
FIGHTING Fights will be taken place in the area that is being challenged for. An admin will judge the fight once its finished. A fight consists of 3 attacks and 2 dodges. But you do not have to play all of your attacks and dodges, you may end the fight early if you want. A fight will be judged based on several things: grammar, spelling, descriptive, quality over quantity, no powerplaying or godmodding, and anything else the staff see fit. Just because your post is longer does not mean you will win, a long post has to be interesting and engaging and not just go on and on about nothing. If you wrote a short post you have just as much of a chance to win as somebody with a longer post. Once the fights over and the winner is announced, the land cannot be challenged for 3 weeks.
HEIRARCHY The alpha male has most of the power. Once he gains a mate, it is shared. Alphas may powerplay slightly over the pack. The Alphess may also do the same. That goes for beta. Any other rank below may NOT. Other ranks differ between packs. There is no universal pack structure here. For example, one pack may have "Healers" but another may not.
MALES May claim land May Forcebreed (PG-13) May claim females May fight for rank or food Cannot breed until ONE YEAR OLD
FEMALES May claim land May not breed until the age of 1 Might fight for food and rank. Have a right to decline any claim by a male
PUPS [sub]May be claimed by both males and females May play fight Cannot claim land or females Are considered pups until one year when they are considered juvenile.
