Information.
Evanescence is an fantasy wolf rpg. We have a minimum word count per post of 175 words. Newbies are welcomed, but they must be able to reach that, or at least be willing to try, and ask for help if needed. Staff are more than happy to advise on how to post better replies.
Being a Fantasy rpg, we allow your wolves to be different colours and be able to do things that a normal wolf or wolves would not. It is also a Light, Dark and Neutral roleplay site. And finally, Foxes, Coyotes, African Wild Dogs and Hybrids of any of those are welcomed. We're a friendly and active community here. Come join us!

Plot.
Several years ago, scientists were experimenting on a new gas that would cure fleas and ticks from wildlife, making life a little bit healthier for living. It wasn't harmful to the animals, but would destroy any bacteria or flea that was living on the coats of wildlife. One day, a fire broke out, and it caused the gas to spread across the entire area. Wolves were exposed to it an and it caused their coats to have different colorings as well as special abilities.

The humans were killed becasue the gas was toxic to them. The wolves now roam every area and the forests seemed to have grown over every inch of the city, hiding old buildings and overgrowing. The wolves have a bit of a problem though...there is a rogue pack of wolves to the north, who are more aggressive and think that they should rule over the entire world. While this other pack is more easy going and mellow.

The question remains...which path will you choose? the ultimate power? Or the ultimate failure?

The Cannibal Plot News
The plot is commencing! The Rogue Pack has announced they will be attacking the Tiani Pack (Light Pack) first, who of which aren't even vaguely aware of the Rogue's existence. It'll be a shock to the system to the pack who don't agree with fighting! No date is set in stone yet, but as soon as this thread ends and Eveon escapes back to West Brighton City, the Tiani pack will only get a few days warning before the strike.

Within the Lux (Dark) pack, the wolf Adder has received visions of the Rogue pack striking and a Pack Meeting has been started. Make sure to have all your Lux wolves attend the meeting.

The ban on creating Rogue wolves has been temporarily lifted on condition that you message WH beforehand.

ABILITIES


    Only abilities from this list are allowed. The list is as follows:

  • Telekinesis-The ability to move inanimate objects
  • Telepathy-The ability to hear what others are thinking
  • ESP-Able to detect what others are thinking. (Not the same as Telepathy)
  • Empathy-Able to feel the emotions of others. Minimal God-Modding! Just do NOT go over board without the other rp's consent. Roleplay this like your creature 'feels' the emotions of the one they are reading (though it typically won't last long).
  • Psychic - Able to predict the future. Minimal God-Modding is allowed but please talk to other RPers beforehand to avoid any disagreement in threads.
  • Telethic Control - Able to break into other wolves mind and control it. Can hear their thoughts, access past memories and also speak to the person through this. You can also inflict pain. Only downside being others can push you out if they really want to.
  • Persuasion and manipulation - Able to persuade and manipulate others into doing what you want for a certain cause.

  • Levitation - To float several inches off the ground. If you have wings, you may not have levitation.
  • Flight - If the animal has wings, this is possible. However, not all winged animals animals can sustain flight due to body weight, size and wingspan variables.

  • Super Speed - The ability to run at a faster pace than a normal wolf, however, running through objects is strictly prohibited.
  • Super strength - The animal is stronger than a natural wolf/coyote/fox (depending on which it is) and will exceed in combat, hunting and the like. Don't go overboard, they don't become gods.

  • Quickly healing - Able to heal faster than normal when wounded. In the advanced stages, the animal may also be able to heal others.
  • Freezing Time - Able to freeze everything around you (even living animals) for no more than five minutes or so. The longer you have this power the longer you are able to freeze things. Can aim it to certain things or people rather than freezing everyone if you want.
  • Invisibility - Able to, as you can probably imagine, turn transparent. This can only be used for a limited time and much like the freezing time ability, will give longer use the more practise the animal has at it. It also comes with age. On average, 10minutes is the longest the ability can be sustained.
  • Passage - The ability to move through other objects unscathed. Denser objects are harder to move through. For example, it'd be harder to move through lead than wood but not impossible.
  • ShapeShifting - The ability to to change into another animal temporarily. It only works into other animals but coat colouration will remain similar. It cannot be sustained for extended periods of time and on average, will last a full day if desired (though the animal will be drained by the end of it and unable to morph for at least another few days, possibly a week).

  • Negation - The ability to cancel out another's ability temporarily while in presence. It is an involuntary power and happens automatically. Animals can however master this and so, only use it when they choose, it takes a lot of practise though. Some of the stronger powers can get through this but they are greatly weakened.
  • Absorption - Almost the entire opposite of Negation. It's the ability to absorb and mimic another's ability temporarily while in presence of them. The other is not affected by this other than perhaps feeling somewhat drained, they can still use their ability as normal.

  • Pyrokinesis - Ability to manipulate fire (more specialist than the Elemental version).
  • Elemental Powers - Able to control Air, Water, Earth OR Fire.
  • Other Elemental Powers - Control of Metalic Elements, Shadows OR Energy/Electricity.
  • Poisonblood - The animal's blood is hazardous to others if contact is made with it (ie during combat) but effect is not long lasting. It is not deadly but merely causes pain to the other and will often cause them to back down. However, this is cancelled out if the other animal has healing abilities.

  • Necromancy - the ability to raise the dead for a certain period of time. They are not brought back to their complete former selves in appearance but look somewhat like a zombie. Humans can come back too, but they cannot talk to you.
  • Clairvoyance - Able to talk to spirits.

  • Be realistic with your ability. A wolf isn't going to be able to pick up a log or a dead tree.
  • If you think of an ability, you may run it by staff.


Last edit make to abilities was by Swift on 29th August and included reordering and adding of new abilities. ^^


MARKINGS


  • Any type of marking is allowed and in any realistic color. I don't want to see magenta. If its purple call it purple!!!! Please make sure that the colors are WITH your wolfs original coat color.
  • NO Inappropriate markings!! (meaning don't have your markings resemble anything inappropriate)
