Evanescence is an fantasy wolf rpg. We have a minimum word count per post of 175 words. Newbies are welcomed, but they must be able to reach that, or at least be willing to try, and ask for help if needed. Staff are more than happy to advise on how to post better replies.
Being a Fantasy rpg, we allow your wolves to be different colours and be able to do things that a normal wolf or wolves would not. It is also a Light, Dark and Neutral roleplay site. And finally, Foxes, Coyotes, African Wild Dogs and Hybrids of any of those are welcomed. We're a friendly and active community here. Come join us!

Plot.
Several years ago, scientists were experimenting on a new gas that would cure fleas and ticks from wildlife, making life a little bit healthier for living. It wasn't harmful to the animals, but would destroy any bacteria or flea that was living on the coats of wildlife. One day, a fire broke out, and it caused the gas to spread across the entire area. Wolves were exposed to it an and it caused their coats to have different colorings as well as special abilities.
The humans were killed becasue the gas was toxic to them. The wolves now roam every area and the forests seemed to have grown over every inch of the city, hiding old buildings and overgrowing. The wolves have a bit of a problem though...there is a rogue pack of wolves to the north, who are more aggressive and think that they should rule over the entire world. While this other pack is more easy going and mellow.
The question remains...which path will you choose? the ultimate power? Or the ultimate failure?

Saturday 28th November 2009 The Cannibal Plot News The plot is commencing! The Rogue Pack has announced they will be attacking the Tiani Pack (Light Pack) first, who of which aren't even vaguely aware of the Rogue's existence. It'll be a shock to the system to the pack who don't agree with fighting! No date is set in stone yet, but as soon as this thread ends and Eveon escapes back to West Brighton City, the Tiani pack will only get a few days warning before the strike.
Within the Lux (Dark) pack, the wolf Adder has received visions of the Rogue pack striking and a Pack Meeting has been started. Make sure to have all your Lux wolves attend the meeting.
The ban on creating Rogue wolves has been temporarily lifted on condition that you message WH beforehand.
Breeding: No. Birthing: No. Weather: The temperature has plummeted down to below freezing point and with it, brings ice and snow. The landscape has changed dramatically visually too. Whiteness coats every level surface, even the backs of any animals that stay still too long. Days are short and nights are long... these are dangerous times... so, venture out into the cold at your own risk.

Here's a quick low-down on the ranks here. Keep in mind that all packs set out their ranks differently! This is specific to the Tiani Pack.
Alpha Male/Female - These are the leaders of the pack, and a couple. If one dies, the other needs to find a new mate or let a Beta take over with their mate.
Beta Males/Females - These are second in command. Unlike other packs, there can be multiples of each here. A male and female from here may pair up and with permission from the Alpha pair, may breed.
Hunters - These wolves are reasonably fit but not quite as much as Guardians. They will help catch large prey daily for the pack and so, are an important asset to the pack.
Guardians - They are the strongest and/or fastest in the pack. They are typically healthy Adults of the age 3+ years. This is because by the age of three, they've matured and have had time to hone their battle skills. Most were previously Hunters.
Healers - Any animal can qualify as a pack healer so long as they have the corresponding ability. These will aid the pack all the time, be it during normal days or during combat. Loyalty is a must because they could be heavily relied on at any point.
Scouts - [description coming later]
Members - These are wolves that will help out any tasks sent to them by the Alphas. They make up the bulk of the pack and are more important than you may think. They're all-rounders in many cases and will assist hunting, pup-sitting and healing (with or without the ability). A couple of tasks that are particular to this group are message carrying and scouting. They often be set a task by another of a higher rank, to carry out in pairs, though sometimes individually.
Pups - Any animal in the pack up to the age of 1. During this time, they will remain within the dens and close land, though may be taken out with another as they start to get older, to get a feel of the surroundings. Once they meet the age of 1, they are given the rank "Member" where they'll start doing easy duties for the pack and build up to the harder ones. If they show good strength, they may move to the rank of "Hunter" after around a year and if they possess the healing ability, they may move to the corresponding rank.

Reply to this thread if you'd like one of your characters to be part of the light pack. I don't think any of the members of the last pack are actually still here so it's well and truly a fresh start ^^

Hey Swift. I was thinking that my Two of mine could join. The first is Kharz. I think he would be a good Hunter. And the second is my near adult pup Samantha. AKA Sam. She can be anything.

Do you have links to their bio threads? Because I'll link their names to them (like the Alphas) and keep everything organised =]
Well, considering he's a fox with abilities that probably wouldn't benefit in chasing and catching large prey (such as deer), I don't think he'd be best suited to be a hunter. Negation is a good ability but I don't think prey animals have abilities in the first place, so it'd be kinda useless on a hunt. I hope I don't sound mean, just trying to keep everything reasonably realistic.
I'll add him to "Members" (for lack of a better title). I hope that's okay ^^;

I've added Misty to "Members" because she's nearly a year and I think foxes mature earlier anyway. I've added Celestie to the "Hunters" because of her strong abilities, she'd be a great asset to the Hunting Party =]
Let me know if you'd rather 'em be changed later though ^^
